Tip of the Day: Lotioned Hands and Water Bottles

Filed under: Tip of the Day — hijabeng @ 2:38 pm

Tip: Don’t Lotion Your Hands BEFORE You Fill Up Your Nalgene Water Bottle at the Cooler.

“Why?” you ask? Well, let me tell you, young one. While you walk up to the cooler with your lusciously moisturized hands (in non-scented lotion, thankyouverymuch), you have no problem holding on to the water bottle with your alma mater boldly emblazoned across it (which your coworkers make fun of you for because they sucks). As the water begins to weigh down the bottle, you start noticing how the friction somehow does.not.exist. between your fingers and the bottle. And the bottle begins to slip down your finger. Slowwwwwly. And you don’t want to let go of the button making the water come out. And so you hope that you have enough time for the bottle to fill up while it’s slowly slipping through your fingers. And by the grace of physics, you emerge victorious with a full bottle of water in slippery, slithery useless fingers.

So next time, make sure you do the whole water bottle thing first and then spend the time lotioning your cuticles that you keep tearing open because of careless rummaging through purses with monstrous zipper teeth.

Thank you and the end.
