About HijabEng

Salam alaikum party peoples,

Bismillah, because it always good to start with the name of God. I am writing to develop a better relationship with myself because as I am slowly but surely learning, I only have myself besides Allah.

Serious stuff aside, I have been told many times that I am apparently unique, a practicing Muslim sister working professionally in a male-dominated field. In engineering. Yes, apparently I’m like a blue moon – you’ve heard of it but come across it rarely. So I thought that documenting my unique perspective and situations may be helpful to others. And helpful to me, just in case I forget about my sincere convictions.

So pleaseĀ peruse the blog and feel free to ask questions. I love chatting, making new friends and drinking caffeine.

Cheers wa salam,

July 2011

  1. I’ve been totally slacking on catching up on your posts but I love the ones about Ramadan! Your insight is unique (from the other blogs I follow, at least) and I love them! :)
